A NY Christmas begins...

It's always tough deciding when to do our NY Christmas.   A few years back we decided to do it the week before but still, being an only child - he gets A LOT of stuff.  So, this year... well, today.. it's rainy and gross... and I'm sick... so we decided... why not. One gift a day.

HE WAS ECSTATIC!  Mom, yours was first... Let the NY Christmas begin!

Zachary is in town!!

It was SO awesome that Zach had a work trip that brought him to Dallas.  I was sick as a dog (poor Z... all that coughing) but he was a trooper!!

Holt picked him up at the airport and then picked up T from his PJ party.  I think they were both excited - goofballs.

Saturday was an early day... Zach had to coach some basketball

then we got a little NY for breakfast!

then since we fed him... we put him to work!

It WAS 70 degrees and he was all excited about it!

then, off for some serious fun!!

Z Dog whooped Holt... Holt was tooooo shamed :)

We had an awesome time... I could only watch (could barely breath) but I have to tell you... nothing better than seeing the "little nephew" that you adore... love on your son!!

Great times, great fun - can't wait until he comes back again!!!!

PJ Party on 12.13.14

That's just a cool date and I'm bummed I didn't feel well enough to post ON that date...but regardless.

T's class all donated a pair of jammies to Jonathan's Place AND they got to wear an identical pair to school for a PJ/Pancake party!!  Mrs. Galimore is seriously the BEST teacher!!

Such fun AND such a great way to teach them to give back

great friends, great class, great fun!!!

RACK - Day 11

We've RACK'd people in restaurants, T's teacher and people that deliver our takeout.

We've got 14 more days to go... today is T's headmaster at school..and because I was sick we didn't go deliver this last night BUT I will today...

If only I had money - I'd go nuts blessing people.  This is by FAR my favorite thing to DO at Christmas!!!

RACK - Day 1

Today starts our 25 days of doing something for OTHERS

We NEED to learn the true meaning of Christmas....

Giving to others is a great place to start!

Sick... again

T woke at 1am on Saturday crying with pains in his arms and legs, a horrid fever and stuffed like you wouldn't believe. Therefore, he's been home... for days... stuck inside... bored.

Thankfully Bebah and Daddy have been able to take care of him while I'm at work and I had Sunday with him... moments I'm truly thankful for - it's the one time he's snuggly.

But, Daddy lit the backyard up for Christmas... and he's been begging...

So, outside we went for a 5 minute sword fight. He was Hook, I was Pan... I'm pretty sure I lost.  But, that smile on his face makes me think I won.

It's the little things....

JT? Yes please....

We had dinner... then headed to AA Center...

Park fun ... and one SORE Mama

T was a tad stir crazy so we headed to the park to play.  What I thought would be 30 minutes was well over two hours...

Lots of football, some jungle gyms and some swings....

and then we were invited to play soccer.  With some kids that CLEARLY played a lot.

It lasted almost 2 hours.  It was fun... but MAN OH MAN... I'M SORE!!  Making great memories with my little guy is my favorite thing to do!!!
